Lumawire is run by Josh Burrus in Aiken, South Carolina. This page explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. Questions: josh@lumawire.io.
What we collect
- What you send us. If you fill in our contact form or email us, we collect your name, business name, phone or email, and your message.
- Calls and texts. If you call or text a number we operate, we collect your phone number and the content of the conversation. Calls handled by our AI assistant may be recorded and transcribed. The assistant tells callers this at the start of the call.
- Basic site data. Our hosting provider records technical information such as your IP address, browser and the pages you visit, for security and to keep the site running.
How we use it
We use your information to reply to you, to quote and carry out work, to provide the services you ask for, to keep our site secure, and to meet legal obligations. We do not sell your personal information. We do not use it for advertising.
Who we share it with
We use trusted service providers to run Lumawire, such as web hosting, email, phone and texting, and AI processing. They handle information only to provide their service to us. We may also share information if the law requires it, or to protect our rights or the safety of others.
Text messages
We send text messages only to people who have asked to hear from us or who are in an existing business relationship with us. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP at any time to stop messages, or HELP for help. We do not share mobile numbers or text opt-in information with third parties for their marketing.
Cookies and analytics
This site does not use advertising cookies. If we add privacy-friendly analytics, we will describe it here.
How long we keep it
We keep contact messages while we are in touch with you and for a reasonable period afterward. Call recordings and transcripts are kept for up to 90 days unless a client agreement says otherwise. Business records, such as invoices, are kept as long as the law requires.
Your choices
You can ask us to see, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you by emailing josh@lumawire.io. We will respond within a reasonable time and may need to confirm who you are first. Some state laws give residents additional rights, and we will honor them where they apply.
Security
We use reasonable measures to protect your information, but no system is completely secure.
Children
Our services are for businesses. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
Changes
If we change this policy, we will update the date above.
